Abstract: Building mortar generally refers to the inorganic cement, sand, water mixed into a building material used in building engineering. According to the used cementing material can be divided into cement mortar, lime mortar, mixed mortar, etc. According to the use can be divided into masonry mortar, plastering mortar, waterproof mortar, thermal insulation sound absorption mortar and so on. The difference between building mortar and concrete is that it does not contain coarse aggregate, it is made of gelling material, fine bone
Material and water are prepared in a certain proportion.
- Composition materials of building mortar
Building mortar is a special improved dry mix mortar designed and produced using high-quality polymers. It is an improved cement-based dry powder material made of high-quality cement, selected fine aggregates and polymer additives ( HPMC, RDP, PCE, PP Fiber and etc ) in a reasonable proportion. It can be used after adding water on site and mixing it mechanically as required.Concrete is an artificial building material made by mixing cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures(PCE,PP Fiber and etc).
Second, the difference between building mortar and concrete
The difference between building mortar and concrete is that it does not contain coarse aggregate, which is formulated by cementing material, fine aggregate and water in a certain proportion.
Building mortar is often used to build masonry (such as brick, stone, block) structure, the external and internal surfaces of buildings (such as walls, floors, ceilings) plastering, large wall panels, masonry wall pointing, and decorative materials bonding.
Third, the classification of building mortar
Building mortar according to the use of classification: can be divided into masonry mortar, plastering mortar. Plastering mortar includes ordinary plastering mortar, decorative plastering mortar and special mortar. Special mortar includes waterproof mortar, acid-resistant mortar, adiabatic mortar, sound-absorbing mortar and so on.
Building mortar according to the gelling material classification: can be divided into cement mortar, lime mortar, mixed mortar. Mixed mortar can be divided into: cement lime mortar, cement clay mortar, lime clay mortar, lime fly ash mortar and so on.
